Sizzler recognises it has the potential to play an important part in bettering the development, health and wellbeing of local communities in which we operate. We take great pride in supporting numerous community groups and not-for-profit organisations with their fundraising efforts.

We do receive many requests for sponsorship each week from a wide variety of organisations, and each request is assessed on an individual basis, to determine if it meets our sponsorship, marketing and community objectives. Due to the large number of requests we receive, unfortunately we are not able to support all requests.

If you would like to apply for community fundraising assistance please read through the following guidelines before submitting your request:

Basic Guidelines

• Cash donations will not be provided to any organisation
• Sizzler will provide vouchers to assist with fundraising initiatives only
• Major sponsorship for local clubs and events is not available at this time.
• All requests must be received at least 6 weeks before the donation is required, otherwise we cannot guarantee a response in time for the event.
• We do ask that each organisation limits their requests to one per year, to ensure fairness for all.

Required Information

Please provide the following details to ensure that your request is considered (any requests that do not include this information may not be considered).

• A letter of authority from the organisation you are fundraising for
• Contact person – name, postal address & phone number
• Event details – location, date & time
• How many people will attend
• What type of donation are you requesting
• What will the donation/funds raised go towards

When a decision is made, we will formally notify the relevant contact person in writing as to the outcome.

Evaluation criteria

Sponsorship requests will be assessed for their community benefit. Not-for-profit groups and registered charities that enhance the communities in which we live and operate will take precedence.

As we seek to benefit as many people as possible, we will not sponsor individual pursuits or groups that do not operate within the local community of one of our restaurants.

We will also not sponsor religious or political events that may be considered divisive within the community.

We will not sponsor communities or groups operating for profit.
